Wordless Wednesday: family history for sale

My great grandfather was once the publican of the Fife Arms in Milton of Balgonie, Fife. Part of me would like to buy it back — just not the rational part.

    • πŸ™‚ will probably pop in for a swift half! Perhaps you could buy your croft and turn it into holiday accommodation for family history tourists; I could buy my pub and do the same and we’d have the beginnings of a genealogy tourism empire — or not!

    • True; I really loved your post about your great-uncle Giles; very powerful and beautifully written. I thought I’d posted a comment, but it’s not appearing so perhaps my mobile blogging isn’t as foolproof as I’d hoped. Anyway, thank you for your lovely comments about Shaking the Tree.

        • πŸ™‚ I’ve been fiddling around with my iPad today, grumbling that photos weren’t getting onto the photostream fast enough, blah, blah, blah. Then I remembered the first solo trip I made back to the UK in 1990 — when I had to take rolls of film home with me to get developed and I had no idea if the pictures would be any good until it was much too late to do a tying about. I’ve now resolved to try and be more grateful for the fabulous technologies I have. Will let you know how that goes next time I have no Internet connection!
